Progress
Can you imagine a four-year-old sight reading? A seven-year-old playing Mozart’s Fantasy in D? An eleven-year-old playing Chopin’s Minute Waltz? A High School freshman taking the music theory AP exam? These are just a few Concept Music success stories.
Enthusiasm
Our beginning students learn a new piece every day or two and this is exciting. Within a couple of weeks students read music fluently, and most finish the first year books in a couple of months. Practicing is less rote repetition, and more engaging exploration. When I show up for my lessons, I’m greeted at the door by someone who can’t wait to show me just how far she’s gotten.
Life Skills
Performance skills are not all you can get from a great music teacher. Our students get math, history art and language skills, and learn self-discipline, organization and self expression. The work we do together, quite literally improves the brain! I also, as teacher, am not only your instructor but also mentor and friend. We help students have an honest confidence and pride in themselves!

All Concept Music teachers live for music, and it shows! We have devoted our lives to music and teaching, and we are excited to share our love for music with all of our students. Our teachers are full of energy and positivity, and this rubs off on our students!
Quality
Concept Music teachers are all extremely qualified with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in music, at least a decade of teaching experience and extensive training in the Concept Music method. This makes for the highest quality lessons and elite level results.
Convenience
Our teachers travel to our students' homes for lessons. We schedule lessons with you according to your schedule and our availability, and always find something that works for everyone. This means parents don't need to worry about travel or occupying themselves during the lesson time. It also means that you will have an opportunity for face-to-face chats with the teacher during/after each lesson.

Because the lessons are in your home, your tuition dollars go directly to your teacher, and not to rent, maintenance, and location insurance. Our Students
In 2020, Concept Music had a virtual recital. Students submitted their performances for the recital below. Up to 27 minutes are the beginning students, and thereafter are more advanced students. For the more advanced students, we added pictures of art and culture from the dates and areas of each composer to give listeners a feeling for the era in which the music was written.
